Alan has been a student of Sifu Ian Cameron for many years and is a Senior Instructor with the club.
Alan teaches at Ian's classes at Meadowbank Stadium.
He is a music teacher and always entertains everyone with first class music at the seminars.

One other benefit I will strive to describe is more of an existential one. We are all familiar with the many moments in each day when we are dislocated from the present: dragged back to an unchangeable and unrepeatable past by regret or nostalgia; pulled forward to an unknowable future by aspiration or worry. Paradoxically, our best chance of escaping the bullying of these poles of time could be to submit to the chronology of the time arts – music, poetry; drama; dance and, possibly most of all, martial arts.
